Paraíso Lagoon

In this vast body of water you can find a wide range of species. Birds like the black winged stilt (Himantopus himantopus), the kentish plover (Charadrius alexandrinos), the tern (Sternula albifrons), the heron (Egretta garzetta), the grey heron (Ardea cinerea), the purple swamp-hen (Ixobrychus minutus) the common redshank (Caladris alpina) or the most varied species of the seagulls family (Larus sp.) can be seen in profusion. Also common is the occurrence of flamingo flocks (Phoenicopterus roseus).
