Oliveira Lopes School Museum

In this museum, it is possible to see a rich collection of didactic material and school furniture used for the education of thousands of children in the region since 1910. Inaugurated on the eve of the Establishment of the Republic with sponsorship by two emigrants who made a fortune and returned from Vera Cruz, Brazil – the brothers José and Manuel José Oliveira Lopes –, the elementary school of Válega had quality materials for child education that today are part of the museum’s estate.
