Mira and Rio Boco Canals

The banks of Canal de Mira, rising along the Caminho do Praião, Gafanha da Encarnação, Gafanha do Carmo, Gafanha da Boa-Hora, and, to the west, the Barra, Costa Nova, Vagueira, Areão and also Rio Boco (Gafanha de Aquém, Gafanha da Boavista, Vista Alegre, continuing to the Vagos zone), with its leaks and sludge beaches and adjacent farmland, allow the observation of a large number of priority species of the Directiva Aves da Rede Natura 2000 para a ZPE Ria de Aveiro.
