Cáster River Mouth

The area of Rio Cáster's mouth in Ovar, in an area of interface between agricultural fields and the lagoon area, is assumed as an important site in which natural values and agricultural uses are compatible.
 Species such as the red heron (Ardea purpurea) and the marsh-harrier eagle (Circus aeruginosus) and many passerines, attest to the importance of the site in avifauna terms.
